A paper-free clinic

  • 5–7 mindesigned to save on paperwork per visit
  • ₹0monthly software subscription
  • 100%of records in the clinic's own Google account

The problem

A specialist dental practice kept everything on paper: patient details, history, notes and prescriptions. The doctor wanted digital records but did not want to be locked into a software platform that would make old records hard to move later.

What I delivered

A records and scheduling system built inside the practice’s own Google account. Registering a patient assigns an OPD number in the clinic’s existing format; each visit creates history, notes and prescription documents; appointments go on a dedicated calendar that warns about clashes.

The result

The system is designed to save 5–7 minutes of paperwork on every visit, with no monthly subscription. Every record is an ordinary Google Sheet or Doc that the practice owns and can open with or without the automation.

How it's built

From input to result

  1. Patient registered
  2. OPD number assigned
  3. Visit documents created
  4. Appointment booked
  5. Clash warning if needed

Built with

  • Google Apps Script
  • Google Sheets
  • Google Docs
  • Google Drive
  • Google Calendar

Engineering decisions

  • The clinic's own Google account is the system of record; the automation is only glue, so records stay readable without it.
  • OPD numbers follow the clinic's existing format, so nothing changes for staff or patients.
  • Double bookings trigger a warning, not a block, because doctors sometimes squeeze in an emergency.
